Welcome back to the 5th Annual Emote Awards!
Hey guys, I apologize for taking so long to get this journal out, but some people wanted a bit more time for votes, and college is stealing all of my free time and (the very little amount of) energy needed to update this!
Anyway, with the large amount of nominations we received in some categories, numerous ties have risen for 1st place in a handful of categories! We need EVERYONE to re-cast their votes to help decide a winner!
Rules
This second phase of voting will last for a week, February 23rd until March 2nd, 11:59 PM EST.
As before, you can only vote once per category. However, the amount of nominees per category has been reduced to the nominees that tied for 1st place in the initial voting phase.
All tallies have been wiped clean for this second phase, so please vote again, whether or not what you voted for the first time around is present. However, you still cannot vote for yourself.
Please send all votes to TheEmoteAwards.
As I cannot stress this enough, you should vote for someone based on the work in their respective category that was done only in 2013!
If a category from the first voting phase isn't present here, a winner has already been determined for that category, and will be announced with the tiebreakers. Please do not vote for any other category other than the ones listed.

For each winner, a special award plaque will be posted in their category, that is free for them to use wherever they please. A plaque will also be posted for all nominees to use, regardless if they won or not.
With all the formalities out of the way, let's get to announcing the winners!

At long last, the day had come. After 3 weeks of nominations and another 3 weeks of voting, the polls are closed, the ballots have been counted, and Krissi001 (https://www.deviantart.com/krissi001) and Mirz123 (https://www.deviantart.com/mirz123) are here to announce the winners of the 2012 Emote Award.!
Before we get to the winners, though, we'd like to comment on a question that was raised during the voting process. There was some concern that a few of the "newcomers" actually posted their first emoticon before January 1, 2012. In previous years, the Emote Awards were done on an erratic schedule, from a date in Dece
